Dear Andrea Csilla,
Over the past few months, you may have noticed a recurring theme in my writing: Running. Early mornings. Zone 2 training. Discipline.
Some of it probably sounded... intense.
So here’s the full story: I’ve been preparing for a seven-day mountain trek in the Caucasus Mountains of Georgia. At the time you are reading this newsletter, I am offline, carrying my gear on my back — tent, food, water, layers — and covering 12 to 20 kilometers a day, with up to 1,400 meters of daily elevation gain.
This may be a holiday, but it’s also an endurance journey.
🧠 Why I’m Telling You This
Because this trek is not separate from my work. It’s part of it.
Endurance training is not only about fitness — it’s about building your capacity to stay with discomfort, to breathe through effort, and to focus when things get steep.
Just like work. Just like leadership. Just like deep thinking.
💡 Doctor’s Insight: Physical Focus Trains Mental Focus
When you train for a long-distance trek, you have to:
-
Plan
-
Adjust your schedule
-
Say no to distractions
-
Recover properly
-
Respect the process
-
Let your body teach your mind
It’s the same mindset I teach professionals about sustainable productivity: You don’t get better by pushing harder. You get better by moving with rhythm.
This trip is my rhythm reset.
And yes, it includes something radical: 📴 A full digital detox. No emails. No notifications. No tabs open.
Because your brain thinks better when you let it be quiet for a while.
🎯 What This Means for You
I'm away from my screen, but not away from intention.
If you’re reading this, maybe it’s a good moment to ask:
-
What mountain are you preparing for right now?
-
What kind of strength are you building — even if no one sees it yet?
-
When was the last time you gave your brain a true reset?
I’ll be back soon — recharged, recalibrated, and full of new insights. Until then, protect your focus. Protect your health.
👣 And maybe go for a walk — your next idea might be waiting at the top of the hill.
No Call to Action this time — just space. We'll talk soon.
Have a productive day!
Andrea
