Dear Andrea Csilla,

Did you know that your energy levels fluctuate throughout the day? Aligning your tasks with these natural rhythms can make all the difference in how productive you are.

For example, I’m a morning person—I can only tackle high-focus tasks before noon. This morning, I started working at 8 AM, and by 11 AM, I had written multiple newsletters and recorded a video. I wouldn’t have been able to do that in the afternoon when my energy dips.

This is why it’s so important to track your energy patterns and schedule your deep-focus work during your peak hours.

Why It Works:

1️⃣ Maximizes Efficiency: You get more done in less time when you match tasks to your energy levels.
2️⃣ Reduces Frustration: Trying to force high-focus work during low-energy periods leads to frustration and poor results.
3️⃣ Boosts Motivation: Accomplishing key tasks during your peak hours gives you momentum for the rest of the day.

How to Track Your Energy Levels:

If you’re unsure about your energy patterns, start tracking them for at least a week:

  • Use a piece of paper or an Excel sheet to record your energy level every hour.

  • Score your energy levels on a scale from 1 (very low) to 5 (very high).

  • At the end of the week, review your notes to identify patterns—when do you feel most focused and energized?

Once you’ve identified your peak hours:

  • Schedule deep-focus work (e.g., writing, problem-solving) during high-energy periods.

  • Reserve low-energy times for routine or administrative tasks (e.g., emails, filing).

Your Action Step:
Start tracking your energy levels today! Once you see a pattern, use it to align your tasks with your natural productivity windows—it makes all the difference!
